Adjectives + Prepositions: of, on, to, with

💭Many adjectives are often followed by the prepositions ‛of,՚ ‛on,՚ ‛to,՚ and ‛with՚.

Here we are going to learn about several prepositions. I recommend taking notes before the test!

Nice/Kind/Generous/Sensible

Example:

Carlo let me stay at his place. That was very kind of him.

Mean/Rude/Stupid/Silly

Example:

It was very mean of you to insult her like that.

Proud/Ashamed/Jealous/Aware/Capable/Fond/Tired

Example:

Cheryl was very proud of her language learning progress.

Short/Full

Example:

I’m a bit short of cash at the moment.

Example:

We stayed at home because Jack wasn’t very keen on going out
in the rain.

Example:

Similar/Different

Example:

Mean/Rude/Impolite/Unpleasant

There’s no need to be so rude to her.
